COST Priced So Small and Large Ministries Can Easily Participate!Learn and Earn Programs registrations are $49 (full day) and $35 (half day) per person with a minimum enrollment of 60 registrants. Here are a few basic ways to hostOption 1 Learn and Earn Sponsorship HostWhen churches or non-profit organizations host the Learn and Earn Program we’ve found the best way to host is to cover Robin’s travel expenses and an honorarium of a minimum of $500 per hour for a workshop. The church then charges whatever they feel is appropriate for the cost of the workshop. Option 1 does not include the built-in fundraising opportunity for your organization. See Option 2 for those details. Ticketing and Promotion and Sponsors We suggest a ticket price of $35 (half day) to $49 (full day) per person with a retail price that is higher that is printed on a ticket. We suggest an early registration discount that is large enough to motivate early registration. We suggest that you get a core group of in house, fellowshipping and community ministry leaders and members in your congregation who will provide initial sponsorships of the event. You can recognize these people in the syllabus handout that should be given at registration, signage at the event, and from the podium. A sponsor should get a bulk amount of tickets for his sponsorship that he can give away or allow the conference to give away. If a sponsor gives $500 (toward a half day session), you might make 33 tickets available ($15 wholesale, $35 retail). Should registration fees received be more than $1500, the additional registrations above $1500 will be equally split between the host church and Wearing The Right C.A.P.™ All registrations that Wearing The Right C.A.P.™ receives on line through direct promotion will be credited toward your host fee. Option 2 – Learn and Earn Built In Fundraising ProgramThe Learn and Earn Built In Fundraising Program offers smaller ministries the opportunity to get practical, interactive, fun and knowledge for every member in your congregation without major expense or sponsorship. It also guarantees at least a $900 donation to your ministry. In addition to covering Robin’s traveling expenses, the host church agrees to sponsor a Learn and Earn Built In Fundraising Program for a minimum of 60 participants. The host church then charges a minimum registration fee of $35 for a half-day program and $49 for a full day program. The host church receives $15 (half day) and $20 (full day) for every participant. A $250 refundable deposit is required. The deposit is returned if the minimum number of participants is registered. We’ve found that smaller churches invite fellowshipping churches to participate to get the minimum number of registrants. Only the host church will receive the donation from registration fees. Option 3– Retreat or 2 Day Conference HostIf a retreat or conference is held we recommend the basic registration fee of $125 per person, $195 per couple. A minimum of 25 is required to put on a workshop. (International workshops need more than one workshop or a larger attendance than 20. Host group for all workshops must cover travel expenses). For groups larger than 100 the per-person registration fee is reduced. Contact our office to discuss a larger group discounted rate. Notebooks are included in the workshop under this format. We do not want finances to keep a church from hosting a workshop. If the above programs do not fit within your structure, contact our office to discuss alternative plans. support@wearingtherightcap.com
WORKBOOKS PAYMENT Fees for the workshop should be paid to Wearing The Right C.A.P.™ at the conclusion of the workshop. Travel expenses are paid by host. A Learn and Earn Program Fact Sheet will be sent to the host organization with details once a date is secured.
Location/Audio/Visual Requirements The meeting room should be equipped with seating that allows participants to write in the syllabus. A classroom style room setup is preferred, but for larger groups the church sanctuary will work. A video monitor/screen adequate for all to see must be available. We will bring our own multi-media projector for PowerPoint. Robin Kegler prefers to teach from a small square waist-high stand or rectangle table that allows her computer to be placed along with other resources she uses during the workshop. She operates her power point with a remote control that she brings with her. She prefers a stool to sit on and a lavaliere microphone. PromotionWe suggest an organizing committee to take responsibility for promoting and organizing the workshop. We suggest 2-5 people on the team with a chairman who insures that all deadlines are being met. Presentations to local business groups and groups inside the church should be made sixty and thirty days before the workshop. Pastoral Leadership Support If a church is hosting the Learn and Earn Program, it is vitally important to have endorsement from the senior pastor. This means support from the pulpit during Sunday morning and we suggest the pastor give an announcement within a month before the time of the event to show support of the Learn and Earn Program. Intercessory PrayerWe have found that intercessory prayer is vital to insure the spiritual success of a workshop. We encourage host groups to form an intercessory prayer team that will meet for at least once a week 30 days prior to the workshop. RegistrationWe recommend the local host group handle registration, however, Wearing The Right C.A.P.™ can also take registrations on our website (ask about details).
Sponsorships/ScholarshipsWe have found that local Christian business people are willing to underwrite the Learn and Earn Program or provide scholarships to people who can’t afford the registration fee. Providing a place on the registration form for sponsorships/scholarships will allow such donations to be received. RESOURCE TABLE Two 6-8 ft resource tables are needed for products and resources that Wearing The Right C.A.P. brings to the workshop. If Robin travels alone, it is much appreciated if the host group could provide a volunteer to work the resource table. Volunteers will receive $40 in product for their help.
